Is more than a city, is a experience
Be here was so hard and because that I feel so lucky! Tarrytown is a small city with EF campus, some houses, and stores, restaurants. It's sweet and comfortable except for the winter because there is colder than Manhattan.
In the classes, we talk so much about the environment, what we do with the garbage and the impacts on our lives and for the Earth, for example, global warming. Global warming is so much polemic on the USA, because of the president Donald Trump and him controversial discourse. He thinks global warming doesn't exist, but if we see that more deepest, we will perceive that is more about the money and less about the environment.
Anyway, the other thing I think is about my family, definitely, this is the hardest thing on a long trip, I miss my father, my mother, my brother, my boyfriend... all my family and friends! Is hard can call them cause NYC is 2 hours more than my city and in the afternoon I walk in Manhattan or have classes to do, and in the night I go to the dinner and most of them sleep after that. But I think when I'll go back to Brazil, I'll feel so proud for all. All the problems in my flight (I had to buy a new in Orlando), sleep on the floor of the airport, change the room, all these things are so stressful but I'll feel so proud when I ended this program because he is so important to me and for my job.
Make friends here are so hard and easy at the same time, I think the people are closed on their groups and this good because they have more intimacy but it's bad because you can't practice your english a lot. On the first day, I don't meet nobody except for two Colombians girls that show me the foodmarket and the Rita Hall, on the other day I meet Marcella and 2 boys, they are Brazilians and Marcella invites me to go at Manhattan and walk, so because of her I can meet others Brazilians guys and make friends. Another person that a meet is an Italian girl called Martina, I saw her on St. Johns Hall and invites her to go at breakfast with me. I love her, she has a personality so close to me, we like so many things in common. Definitely the girl that are more close to me are Martina and Manuella (she is from the Brazilian group), we do so many things together and talk a lot about the differences between Brazil and Italy (political, books, school, peoples, diseases, foods, movies...) I really love that!
I'm really enjoying this experience and want that everybody deserves living with that.
